“I’m bored.” We’ve all heard that famous saying coming from one of our kids more times than we’d wish for and it always makes me cringe. Take your family out to the Liberty Science Center and explore some of their new exhibits!
MomTrends hosted our family and we had the pleasure to discover so many amazing things at this incredible and fascinating facility. Here’s the scoop on the new exhibits.
Dino Dig is back for Summer 2018! If your family loves dinosaurs or if you have an aspiring paleontologist – this exhibit is a must see! At LSC’s popular outdoor fossil site, we uncovered massive dinosaur bones by digging through 35 tons of sand. Look for more than 60 fossils, many of them replicas of those discovered in Montana by Jack Horner, the famous paleontologist who inspired Jurassic Park.
Ewwww!!! But so much fun! I could not tear my kids away from this exhibit. I think it was their favorite one on our visit. You too can uncover all things gross about the human body in LSC’s premium exhibition, Grossology!
Based on the best-selling book of the same name, Grossology explores all the slimy, oozy, crusty, stinky questions you’ve always wondered but have been too afraid to ask. As you crawl and climb through the human body, and play games that reveal the secrets of boogers, vomit, odors, and more, you’ll find yourself saying “Ewww, gross!” in the best way possible! My three-year-old loved the esophagus slide and my teen and I enjoyed the interactive quiz. We felt like we were on a game show! *Spolier* I won. Hehe.
If you’re an 80’s kid, like I am, you will adore this exhibit! Arthur’s™ World, the national exhibition based on the PBS TV series and popular Marc Brown books, is now open at LSC! In Arthur’s™ World, you’re invited to build a love of reading and learning through activities set within classic Arthurlocations. Bake a cake in Arthur’s family kitchen. Explore life under a microscope and enter a spelling bee in Mr. Ratburn’s classroom. Make a video in the Lakewood School Auditorium and watch as you appear on a giant television screen!
I cannot forget to mention the amazing and beautiful planetarium that’s brand new and huge! Its’s gorgeous and what an exciting way to learn all about our universe.
Be sure to take an adventurous day out with your family this Summer. Don’t miss any of these super fun and exciting new exhibits this summer.
