Oh sugar! Tonight’s the night! The GRAMMY’S! I love music and makeup and what a better night than tonight to get the latest in the best of both!
If you guys follow COVERGIRL on Twitter, you know that Zendaya took to Periscope to give us an inside look at her makeup and hair look for the red carpet. My daughter and I LOVE her! She’s adorable and fierce! Plus, her mom was in the background giggling. I’m sure she was having a proud mom moment.
As a new COVERGIRL, she did her own makeup tonight and she did an amazing job! (Tutorials plzzzz!)
The GRAMMYS is a fun award show so Zendaya decided to go a bit edgier than her last red carpet event, so her amazing stylist, Law Roach and Zendaya decided to try a whole new approach. Together they picked out an awesome menswear inspired suit and decided Zendaya would keep her makeup a bit more natural to balance out her look.
I’ve included the specific products, shades and techniques she used to complete her look, straight from Zendaya herself. From doing her own makeup to launching her new song “Something New” – it’s safe to say that Zendaya is a COVERGIRL of many talents. 🙂
For the eyes…
“I wanted to keep the look soft, but with major lashes! I am a huge eyeshadow fan and currently loving truNAKED Eyeshadow Palettes (#7) because they are really pigmented and are so versatile. Today I used the Nudes (#7) palette and I love that no matter the look you are trying to achieve, these palettes offer a variety of colors and textures for a flawless look. I even used the lighter shade within the palette as a highlighter on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and on the cupids bow. I’ve always been a fan of drugstore makeup and I swear these palettes work just as good as the expensive ones. To define my eyes, I lined my upper lid withIntensify Me! Liquid Liner in Intense Black (#5) and finished with Plumpify Mascara (#1). This mascara gives loads of volume by lifting the lashes from the root, making them stand out more. I always finish any look by grooming my brows – it’s key!” -Zendaya
Once my eyes are done, I apply foundation to clean up any mistakes or eyeshadow that sprinkled on my face. I started by applying foundation at the center of my face and worked my way out. Today I used truBlend Liquid Makeup (pictured above) in Caramel Beige, then warmed up my skin with truBLEND bronzer (#3) and added a pop of color with truBLEND blush (#4). The end look is flawless, yet my skin shines through and I don’t feel overly made up.” – Zendaya
Now, no look of mine is ever complete without a touch of color on the lips – tonight I used Colorlicious Oh Sugar! In Caramel (#6). I love that these lip balms help to keep the lips hydrated while still providing a light wash of color. For a final touch, I added a swipe of Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams in Caramel Cream, topped with a dab of Queen Collection Colorlicious Gloss in Premier Pink (pictured above) to complete the look.” -Zendaya
Have a fab night! I’ll be watching the GRAMMY’s from my glamorous couch! Ha!
