Last week I was invited to an interactive walk-through event that truly brought to life the concept of ‘ew-dentification’.
Ew-dentification: those common moments when kids get into something gross and it simply makes you say “ew”.
The experts, pediatric doctor, Dr. Nina Shapiro and microbiologist Dr. Charles Gerba led numerous interactive stations, which each showcased common-day scenarios where parents and their children encounter those ‘ew’ moments, including at the playground, classroom and supermarket. Wecan all relate to having to combat germs in these places whether it be the shopping cart handle bars at the supermarket or the jungle gym at the playground. Germs. Are. Everywhere.
In the final nurse’s office and pediatrician’s office scenarios, Dr. Shapiro shared her tips and tricks for preventing and conquering sickness when sick gets real as a result of all those germ-filled encounters.
We all know germs are almost inevitable and our kids get sicky at times. I trust Dimetapp, Robitussin, and C hildren’s Advil to alleviate sicky time and make the day and nightime routines comfortable.
