I’m a strong believer in adding a little tech to your life to make things easier. With a little planning ahead, important events, like heading to any one of your favorite Disney Parks, can be captured forever in a seamless way.
Victoria Lim is an award-winning journalist and multimedia expert as well as one of the speakers I really admired at the incredibly magical Disney Social Media Moms On-The-Road event. The event took place on the stage (literally) of the “House Beautiful” also known as The New Amsterdam Theater. There, along with many other inspiring and motivational speakers, Victoria encouraged us to invest a little time in the right tools to make things like making a video – easy and fun. And, yes, I believe it’s possible. You don’t need to sit and edit a video for hours.
I’ll admit it. I’m guilty of taking gazillions of photos during an important event or family vacation and doing absolutely nothing but upload them into my computers black hole of lost photos (and videos). I know. Shame on me! With great apps like Videolicious and Magisto, you can tell a story with your photos and videos and create something that really encapsulates the memory forever. PLUS, you have can share it so all your friends and family can enjoy those special moments with you.
Three pin microphone – This is great If you’re a blogger like me and conduct interviews, this mic helps against any noise interference and helps block out all the background noise so your video is top notch.
Selfie stick – I’ll admit it, I would give people the wide eyed look when I would see someone using a selfie stick but immediatley fell in love once I knew what that baby could do! You’d be surprised how cool this thing is!
Problem: Don’t have a steady arm? Magical Fix: Lean your arms or body against on something to stabilize you. Then click!
Problem: Your camera lens is dirty. Magical Fix: Use a camera lens cloth and give it a nice wipe down before every use. Always keep the lens of your camera clean – you’ll see the proof in your photos.
P.S. If you don’t like to tke photos let Disney take them for you! Check out the Disney Photopass for more info.
