My very first sign of summer is when Coney Island opens up!
So come on down to Coney Island this weekend and celebrate the opening of the Amusement district! Sunday, April 13th, marks the official opening of the Amusements with the blessing of the rides at Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park at 11am and free rides on the Wonder Wheel for the first 100 people on line! The annual egg cream christening of the Cyclone Rollercoaster follows at noon and the first 100 riders on the Cyclone also ride free. This day is not to be missed!
You can also spend a day on the Boardwalk! Tom’s Coney Island is open daily from 8am – 5pm weekdays and until 7pm on weekends.
The New York Aquarium is open daily from 10am – 4:30pm. Brooklyn Beach Shop, Nathan’s Famous (Boardwalk Location), Coney’s Cones, Lola Star, Ruby’s, Paul’s Daughter, Peggy O’Neill’s, Eldorado Bumper Cars & Arcade, Williams Candy, Applebee’s and Coney Island History Project are all open too! Spend your spring in Coney!
Something’s always happening in Coney Island, so don’t forget to check the latest on the Coney Island Fun Guide Events Calendar!
