If someone asked me what “La Familia De Hoy” means to me, I’d respond by saying that I believe “La Familia De Hoy” is one who is culturally diverse and although may not “look” like the traditional family model but that is one who holds family values such as love, respect and trust at its core.
My family is culturally diverse. We are made of Puerto Rican and Jewish families. Our cultures are intertwined and therefore we make for some really awesome holidays. Food plays a huge part of our family. We love to keep the traditions alive. Sports are also important as my husband is a huge sports fan and enjoys encouraging our daughter to participate in many extra-curricular activities, most recently winning the championship game last Summer. I may not be a huge sports fan but am a fan of being active and healthy so sports like baseball, basketball and soccer are always welcomed in our home. And how can I forget the latest member of your family, Puffy. Puffy is our doggie. He really brings all of us together. I never grew up with pets so bringing Puffy into our lives has shown me how to love in different ways.
Johnson & Johnson and Univision have launched a campaign to find an authentic, modern and active family to become “La Familia de Hoy” and they need your votes! You can visit Univision.com and meet the 3 finalists.
I’m voting for the Jimenez family. Although I think all three families are unique and incredible in different ways, I believe that I can relate most to the Jimenez family. Juan, the big guy of this beautiful family, also is a big sports fan like my husband. They have a lovable furry member of the family, a bulldog named “Nut” and have a love for food since I heard their guacamole is a must try! (Maybe we should have a guac-off?) Like my own family, the Jimenez family is also culturally mixed.
Log on to Univision.com and vote for your favorite family to help them become the spokesfamily for Johnson & Johnson in 2014.
