The Great Lawn at Central Park was pretty magical last night. The MLB All-Star Charity Concert presented The New York Philarmonic featuring a very special guest – Mariah Carey! I kicked off my sandals and let the fresh cut grass tickle my toes as the beautiful music played.
It was like we were in Mariah Carey’s backyard, underneath the stars. The New York Philarmonic conducted by Alan Gilbert, swept us away with classic tunes like Casey at the Bat narrated by Joe Torre himself and an interactive performance of Take Me Out to the Ballgame where the whole audience (including me) sang along. But the best part of this night was that the concert benefited Hurricane Sandy victims.
And you know you can’t enjoy anything baseball with out peanuts and Cracker Jack. Check out the vintage packaging.
