POW! Are you ready to kick allergies to the curb? Keep reading and you’ll find out how.
How many times have you woken up to puffy face, a stuffy nose, or itchy, watery eyes? As for me? Too many times! As a working mom, there is no time to waste in the morning and I always have to look my best with little time to spare. The best way to treat allergies, through my experience, is by preventing them.
Allergies can affect not just how you feel, but also how you look. According to survey commissioned by the makers of ZYRTEC®, 96% percent of women with allergy symptoms suffer from ALLERGY FACE—the beauty challenges like a puffy face, watery eyes and red nose that are associated with typical allergy symptoms. – ZYRTEC® on Facebook – http://on.fb.me/10zeUgt
I have combatted allergies for years. Allergies affect not just how we look, but how we feel too. Many women experience ALLERGY FACE™ – the beauty challenges like a puffy face, red nose and watery eyes – that are associated with typical allergy symptoms. Also familiar with #ALLERGYFACE is Latina Blogger and beauty and fashion expert Carmen Ordoñez, @VivaFashion, who has teamed up with the makers of ZYRTEC® to share her personal beauty tips to combat ALLERGY FACE™.
In my childhood, my mami would treat our allergies with home remedies. Some of these home remedies are my go-to tricks to getting immediate alleviation to this day! The best part is that some of my home remedies can be found right in your kitchen.
Here are some home remedies that I swear by:
- Puffy eyes? Apply a slice of cucumber to each eye and leave on for a few minutes. Your eyes will be like brand new minus the puffiness.
- Red, itchy skin? Apply a milk infused wet paper towel to the affected areas. The redness goes away along with any itchiness.
- Watery nose? Try flushing your sinuses in a hot shower. Let the steam clear up and clean out your nasal passages.
- Itchy eyes? Wash your eyes with a hypoallergenic facial soap. Cool water to flush eyes and rinse. Tap gently with a clean towel to dry.
- Always use gentle washes for your face.
- Change your linen weekly.
ALLERGY FACE™ Beauty Tips Help You Look Better…
Beauty and fashion expert Carmen Ordoñez @VivaFashion has teamed up with the makers of ZYRTEC® to share her personal beauty tips to help disguise ALLERGYFACE™ beauty challenges.
Here’s one: If you have watery eyes, stick to eye shadows in earth tones, such as brown or beige, which have less pigment. These shades are perfect for a natural look and will also compliment olive-toned skin.
Here’s another: To help offset redness around your nose, apply a corrector or primer with a green tint, followed by your foundation.
