This may sound like a Christmas in July post since coquito, the coconut rum drink, is a special cocktail that is served during the holidays. It’s creamy, sweet and nostalgic. I usually make a couple of gallons and share them with family and friends at Christmas parties, etc. The only set back is that this drink is high in fat, dairy and sugar.

Flaco Coquito is a catering company operated right here in New York City. We cater to bars, lounges, restaurants, private dinner parties and events.
Since our company was structured in 2012, we’ve treated every customer like family. Last holiday season, with a simple idea of making Coquito (coconut drink from PR) for our friends and family we surpassed our expectations. We took off as a successful venture from our first tasting. We wanted to improve a time honored tradition by giving it a contemporary flare. In 2011, I decided to take my husband’s secret recipe and make a healthier version of Coquito. My final product, not only took me by surprise, but also my husband. Making it healthier with low sugar options, allowed all of my family to partake, keeping our tradition alive!
Now we can have coquito all year round.
