When I told me kiddo that we were headed to the theatre to see a play I knew she would enjoy, her immediate reaction was excitement. Granted, she loves going out with Mami and her cousins but when I told her it would be performed by her favorite sitters in the word – the Artisitters – she was filled with utter joy!
Help Wanted: Pirates! isn’t your ordinary children’s play. The cast really gets the kids involved from the beginning to end. Packed with hilarious interactive games with the audience to the trips backstage to assist the Pirates in preparing some icky and interesting Pirate Stew, the fun never ends.
There’s a treasure out there was the opening to Help Wanted: Pirates! and it really set the tone for the rest of our time at the show. My wonderful nephews were our dates.
The Artisititers sure know how to put on a great performance.
For us, the real treasure was all the fun and excitement we had.

Plot: Captain Squid and his fun-loving band of pirates are being hunted by Sir Nigel, the maniacal leader of the British Navy. They need to clear out of Nigel’s waters, and fast, but there aren’t enough pirates to man the ship. In a stroke of genius, Squid recruits the audience and teaches your children the tools of the pirate trade! The audience moves from one location to the next, learning how to walk, talk and squawk like a pirate! Will Squid’s new recruits (that’s you) be ready in time to find the treasure?
Do you have enough guts to be a pirate? ARGH!
