The last PTA meeting I attended at my dd school was to introduce the parents to the first grade and the curriculum such as well as what things to expect, look forward to and work on.
It was a successful meeting and I got the chance to meet some wonderful teachers who seem to really care.
One high point was when they introduced a few openings to the Chess Club. They meet once a week, after school, so I jumped on it and left a note in the coordinators inbox.
A week later I got the acceptance letter and we are super excited! She starts tomorrow! I never learned how to play chess so for her to have the opportunity to learn makes me so happy!
Who knows, maybe she’ll teach me how to play one day. That would be nice.
I cannot wait for her to tell me how her first day goes!
