I am a sucker for anything romantic so when I read of who recently married I had to share it with you!
Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the hit Broadway musical “In the Heights” “A musical about the importance of home, family and finding where you belong”… married his dream girl, Vanessa Nadal, in Staatsburg, New York in front of their family and friends on September 5th.
The Latin duo knew of each other in their college years (they both attended Hunter). The couple then reconnected through a Facebook alumni page for Hunter that opened up the chapters to this sweet love affair.
Shy Miranda could not muster up the courage to ask Ms. Nadal out while attending Hunter. She was beautiful and Miranda never had “game” or the “skills” to talk to a girl he was attracted to. Little did he know that she was the missing piece to his puzzle. …“He gets me in a way that no one else does. I’m a scientist at heart. I try very hard not to let my emotions cloud my judgments and he’ll see through that and see what I’m really feeling.”- Ms. Nadal
The New York Times described the bride as a “young Elizabeth Taylor in an Oscar de la Renta strapless gown …… that appeared to be made of feathers, clouds, whipped cream and youth.“
A wedding wrapped in love, art, intellect, and culture, what a wonderful way to capture a moment.
